By now you fully understand how important video is in the promotion of your tourism business. Statistically people who watch videos are five times more likely to purchase from a business that has video on their website than those who don’t.
There are a growing number of video production companies who target hotels, inns, villas, B&B’s, tourism activities, attractions, CVB’s and regional tourism organizations trying to encourage them to have professional footage taken for a fee. Most often that fee is out of the reach of the small tourism businesses and while I think that if you can afford it you should go down that path, I also feel that you can do just as well if you do it on your own.

Hm hm.. that’s very interessting but actually i have a hard time determining it… wonder what others have to say..
Hi John, the idea that you use video to promote anything other than your hotel or tourism activity does seem a little out there for most people in hospitality however, when it comes to social media your viewer (potential prospect) is looking all over the web for objective information about places to stay, things to see and do and comments from past guests. My motivation for writing this article was to suggest that if they’re looking then why not give it to them anyway. Video only needs to be 1 – 2 minutes and can add a world of value to your online marketing efforts. Cheers Angela
